When The Culture Changes.

Well, we have one more week of football. It's been a grueling season, but something happened.

There is a mesh point, it's very subtle, sometimes it happens in the middle of a game, a team learns who they are, how to win, and what it takes. It isn't overnight, but it happens to teams who are playing with and for each other, it happens to teams that want to win. It happened in Philly, Detroit, and Miami. It also happened in Chicago.

I can't pinpoint it, but the second half of the Detroit game, in which we lost, comes to mind. There was an overall feeling, a come together moment.

Being this is really year one of the rebuild, now we see the makeup of what the culture will be here. Resolve.

Sure, we could hang our heads low, after double digit leads turn to loses. Or we can learn, That a loss has a lesson in it. Look, everyone starts from scratch at some point. Who are we to think we won't. We have a first time head coach, with a first time offensive coordinator, and in this market, you will be judged and scrutinized, the lights shine bright here, if you're not mentally capable, you'll fold. Here's where the players come to mind.

We are at a precipice, and it is monumental. It's the trajectory that we see, versus the one that we don't. I'm not going to say that our quarterback play has been great. How could it, when he was asked to do everything with so little. The problem is the allure of that pick. We wouldn't be having these debates if it wasn't for that pick. That thing has divided the fan base, and made the players play with this uncertainty that is palpable. That pick is poison. And when the season is over up until April, we are under It's control. The players too. I sometimes wish we didn't have it. We would've focused more on what's in front of us. I know roster changes are on the horizon, some for the good, some good for business, so I'm going to say Goodbye to the 2023 Chicago Bears.

And how fitting is it to go against our rival.

This is a gift, succeed or fail.

We go as one. Thanks for a helluva year.

Chicago vs Everybody
