Tyson Bagent confident he can “stack wins” until Justin Fields returns

Updated: Oct 19, 2023

In a press conference today at Halas Hall, Tyson Bagent said he was confident in running the entire offense, "I think this offense is very similar to what I operated in college for four and a half years."

Bagent came into the game against the Minnesota Vikings about midway through the third quarter when Justin Fields apparently dislocated his right thumb making him unable to grip the ball. Bagent went 10 of 17 for 83 yards, 1 interception and 1 sack, while scoring a rushing touchdown from 2 yards out.

Tyson Bagent was a rockstar at Shephard amassing an astounding 17,034 passing yards, 159 touchdowns, 48 interceptions, and a 43-10 record in four years as the starting quarterback. If nothing else, the kid has a vast amount of experience throwing the ball over 2,000 times in that four year span, completing 1,400 passes for a 68.6 completion percentage with an 8.4 yard average per completion.

Coming from a Division II school is an uphill climb, but as he says in his press conference today, "I've pretty much beat every odd there was for me so I got nothing to lose, I'm gonna go out there fight with these guys till the death and stack as many wins as I can till we get Justin back."
