The Bears Are Developing Into What We Were Promised They Would Be

After the game against the Cardinals, things should be more apparent than ever. The talent on defense, which was a heavy emphasis in last's year's draft and free agency period, has gotten into a groove. It's starting to remind me of the days of Urlacher, Briggs, and Tillman when you'd rather watch the defense play, and whenever the offense got on the field you were like, eh....great.

What's also apparent is the talent disparity on offense. The drop-off is glaring. When DJ and Kmet got banged up, although Mooney and Tyler Scott are good, they do not require as much defensive attention. This year's draft has to be so offensive minded, from offensive line, reciever, tight end, and running back. That's every skill position. I'm not exaggerating. Justin was asked to do everything, again.... I'm sure the pressure of this job is starting to wear on him. I've noticed in his last few press conferences he's more subdued. Well, the organization didn't do him many favors. Couple that with a fanbase with unrealistic expectations and it's only a matter of time that anyone will get exhausted, praying for the season to end.

We as fans get so stuck in our way of what we think, and totally ignore what actually is. Here's what is. That first pick has more value than last years. I'll tell you why. That kid in USC is a better prospect than the two who came out last year. Poles knows this, he doesn't want him, it will damage the chemistry, not that Caleb is a bad person, his locker room would suffer.

He wants what the pick will bring, and it better be a hall. The amount of players this team needs far exceeds the desire for a rookie quarterback. A quarterback saviour will not fix this, a running back, wide receiver, tight end, center and guard just might. So, it depends on who's willing to pay. Look, most of these teams are gonna have cap casualties, we will as well. Some are gonna be big (San Francisco, and the Eagles come to mind). Ours puts us in a better position under cap, There's so much talent to acquire, using that pick to get it, plus free agency, we will be loaded next year. Stay the course.

Chicago vs Everybody.

Poles please realize what you have with JF1. You have a coach who is defense minded and our defense shows that Flus has had a very positive effect on that side of the team. We have great draft picks and a lot of cap money this coming year. Get a OC that can do for the offense what Flus did for the defense, draft the Offense linemen, Wide receivers and tight ends to complete the roster. The Bears can make this team one of the best in Bears history.

The key to prolonged winning is health and depth of talent. We are still trying to build our first team; all the teams vying for position now have filled their lineups with backup talent sufficient to keep them in the running. When Jenkins is out, our whole offense line takes a big step back. We are not one year away from being "The Monstetrs of the Midway". Poles needs several years of multiple top draft choices to build this team.
