Something Came Together In This Game.

I think most of the fans and players are exhausted. Not just from a long and grueling season, but from all of the "reset the clock" and trade talks as well. You can be mentally and emotionally drained.

You wouldn't have noticed that at Soldier Field on Sunday. There was a sense of urgency that playoff teams typically play with, an edge that this team started to display in the first Detroit game, we all know the outcome. But that was the mesh point for this team. They absolutely won't let the player next to them down.

This team has everything to play for, and it's not in the standings. They are playing for their quarterback. They hear the analysts, former players no less, they hear the fans, unsuspecting with the same critique. Yet they block it out, and look at H1M, and he does more with less than anyone has ever been asked. A banged up DJ Moore, Mooney couldn't clear concussion protocol, and Cole Kmet could only play decoy because cutting on that knee was not an option, but he refused to not at least try to help his quarterback win which could possibly be his last home game. This team is willing to go thru a brick wall for Justin, even his harshest critics know this, but they ignore his leadership qualities to fuel their bias. Grow up.

Justin Fields is a human cheat code. Which was on full display. In these conditions, his played showed the league he's not a game manager. He must be accounted for. How encouraging it was to hear Soldier Field chant his name. He deserved that. This was a thank you he needed to hear.

Now, Defensively, you do not want to play this team, period. They are good at all three levels, and will get better, this is gonna be a squad man. A play that stood out to me, Tremaine Edmunds took on the full back, knowing TJ was right behind him, to tackle Bijan Robinson to force a third and ten. He trusted where TJ would be, and didn't try to play hero ball. There's no big "I's" and little "U's" here, it's a team full of We's. And We running up the chimney, We want all the smoke. Tyrique, two interceptions, Kyler, TJ, one each.

This team is not a finished product, there are positions that need filling, and skill players are at the top of that list. But the improvement has got to be the high level of competitiveness they've been playing with. This team, presently constructed, can bang with anybody. Can you imagine another draft and free agent class to help bolster this roster. Tell Green Bay We coming, We'll see y'all next week.
