Chicago Bears Latest Loss Gives Fans More Questions Than Answers...

Updated: Dec 18, 2023

It took me a minute to emotionally calm down from this recent collapse. Playing against the number one ranked defense exposed some glaring holes that need to be addressed. I'm not throwing anyone under the bus here, but Nate, Braxton, and Khalil could have played better. Getsy could have stuck with the run more, some more double tight end sets were necessary. And the drop off from DJ to our other wideouts was more apparent than in any other game. Guys, this left more questions than answers, and I'm just as stunned as the you are. But let's look at that coming out party.

Something wicked this way comes.

That defense is going to wreck this league, I mean that. You can't hide, and you definitely can't run (Cleveland had 29 rushing yards). The weak link was the three and outs by the offense. If those processions are extended, Amari Cooper's touchdown may not have even occurred. Our defense was everything in this game, and we owe them a standing ovation. Every level on that side of the ball, the D line, linebackers, defensive backs, showed this league what's coming. And they coming. This is the birth of an extremely elite unit.

Guys, we got a squad.

Now, look, Justin and DJ are beat up, tired, and overworked. Our running backs are good, but not special, the offensive line struggled, as they should have, and some max protect sets could have been used. But extending drives are so important in these defensive possession games. Our offensive game plan did not show a sense of urgency that Cleveland showed, with their 4th quarterback. We have some holes to fill, and some we thought were good but could be better,

But We are close.

Chicago vs Everybody.
