How can we not root for this kid. But There's a team growing in Chicago.

When the season started, the optimism quickly grew to frustration. And rightfully so, the media blitz the Bears marketing team put on social media had us all full of hope and promise. Now, seven games in, we understand how hard it is to win in this league. Enter Tyson Bagent.

First off, let's look at how coachable he is. He didn't need to be the star; he has a few on his team. He knew he couldn't be the culprit; that's more important. That kind of maturity comes from a four-year college career with the record-highest number of touchdowns thrown in all divisions. He showed poise, pocket presence, and quick decision-making. How can you not root for this kid?

Now, the game plan was the exact game plan Vegas played. Quick hits to the flats, tight ends on the line to block for running plays. This is the failsafe for young quarterbacks. But your running game has to be the driving force here, and that's where we won the game. If it looked familiar, these are the same plays Justin ran last year.

Now, here's what we've been overlooking: the defense held teams under 50 yards rushing in the last three games. We've led the league in rushing the last four games. We are a running football team. The tinkering with the offensive line, moving Teven Jenkins to play alongside rookie Darnell Wright, was not only bold but also created a wrecking crew. 173 yards rushing. That's a rookie quarterback's best friend.

The defensive line is a noticeable place for improvement; besides Justin Jones interior play, there is not much quarterback pressure from the front four, but did they do a job on run defense?

Let's not concern ourselves with who should be quarterback; this team is built to Justin's capabilities; let's just continue to grow this thing into a team.

And we are not that far off.
